In April 2019, tronox completed the acquisition of costal Cristal, jumped from the sixth largest titanium dioxide producer in the world to the second largest titanium dioxide producer in the world, with a total titanium dioxide production capacity of 1.1 million tons, accounting for about 13.8% of the world; At the same time, the company is also the titanium dioxide enterprise with the highest self-sufficiency rate of titanium raw materials in the world, the second largest producer of high-grade titanium raw materials and the second largest zircon producer in the world; The combined tenor has a total capacity of 820000 tons of titanium raw materials (titanium slag + synthetic rutile + natural rutile), with a self-sufficiency rate of 75%.
