On September 7, the domestic market price of solid Caustic Soda increased by 200-500 yuan / ton, and the quotation was 2542-3500 yuan / ton, with a maximum increase of more than 10%. The price of solid caustic soda increased from 2434 yuan / ton on August 25 to 3084 yuan / ton on September 7, an increase of 26.7%. The price of liquid caustic soda increased from 705 yuan / ton on August 25 to 740 yuan / ton on September 7, an increase of nearly 50% in two weeks.

The supply growth has slowed down and the tension is prominent. The operating rate of chlor alkali industry is 84%, which has reached the highest in five years. The obstacles to the continued rise in the short term are mainly factors such as power restriction in the production area and environmental protection supervision, and there is not much supply capacity that can be released. The resonance recovery of downstream demand drives the prosperity of chlor alkali to continue to rise, and the demand for alumina has brought obvious support. On the premise of maintaining high load operation of caustic soda, the elasticity of the supply end is obviously insufficient, and the demand recovery trend in many downstream fields continues to be strong. Under this mismatch of supply and demand, it is expected that this round of industry prosperity repair is expected to maintain more than one year.
