1. In the paper industry, EDTA is used to maximize the bleaching efficiency in the pulping process. Used to whiten the paper.

2. EDTA does not allow harmful metals to react with products. This is called isolation. Therefore, EDTA is used in cosmetics to enhance its resistance to molecules in the air. It is also used in personal care and skin care products, connecting with free metal ions and acting as a purifying agent.

5. EDTA is used for oil drilling, production and recovery in the petroleum industry.
