On March 31, 2022,Chemours issued a price increase letter for Titanium Dioxide, saying that based on the rise of energy costs and the tight supply of titanium raw materials, part of komu's titanium raw materials came from velta in Ukraine, with an annual production capacity of about 280000 tons. Due to the impact of the Russian Ukrainian war, Ukraine's titanium supply materials will be affected, and it is difficult for other titanium suppliers to fill the vacancy of komu's titanium raw materials in the short term. According to the research and decision of the company, the price of titanium dioxide in Greater China will be increased by $200 / ton from May 1, 2022.

It is reported that this is not the first price increase of Chemours this year. On February 28, Kemu issued a price increase letter saying that the price of titanium dioxide in China will be increased by $200 / ton from April 1, 2022.

As we all know, titanium dioxide is an important inorganic chemical pigment. The main raw materials are titanium concentrate, rutile and titanium slag. It is widely used in downstream industries, including coating, automobile paint, medicine, food and so on. Among them, coatings, automotive paint and other fields are the main downstream application fields of titanium dioxide.

In 2022, the scene of titanium dioxide market continues, and there is strong demand at home and abroad. Among them, due novel coronavirus pneumonia abroad, the impact of the larger outbreak of titanium dioxide production can not keep up with the growth of demand, domestic titanium dioxide export demand is higher.
