As of July, driven by the tight supply of raw materials and the huge price increase, the carbon black market has increased by 1,000 yuan from the previous month. It is reported that the carbon black N330 in East China in July was around 5200-5500 yuan/ton, an increase of 800-1000 yuan/ton from the previous month.
According to customs statistics, the import volume of carbon black in June 2020 was 7294.6 tons, an increase of 37.1% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 7%. The main import sources are Japan (accounting for 15.4%), the United States (accounting for 14.4%), South Korea (accounting for 11.7%), Belgium (accounting for 11.3%), and Germany (accounting for 9.4%). The top three regions in terms of import volume are Shanghai (41.47%), Guangdong Province (20.56%), and Zhejiang Province (7.42%).
The export volume of carbon black in June 2020 was 4,0240.5 tons, an increase of 71.1% from the previous month and a year-on-year decrease of 33.8%. The main exporting countries are Thailand (accounting for 38.4%), Vietnam (accounting for 18.4%), Taiwan, China (accounting for 9%), India (accounting for 7.7%), and Indonesia (accounting for 7.2%). The main exporting provinces and cities are Jiangxi Province (accounting for 24.58%), Shanghai (accounting for 20.83%), and Shandong Province (accounting for 16.01%).
In the first half of 2020, carbon black imports totaled 40,000 tons, an increase of 11.3% over the same period last year. As my country took the lead in recovering from the new crown pneumonia epidemic, domestic companies have resumed work and production, and the business environment is good. The demand for downstream tires and automobiles has improved, and the demand for high-end carbon black imports has increased.

In the second quarter, although China`s carbon black industry resumed work and production, the supply increased, but the new crown epidemic in major foreign economies was severe , Which has a great impact on the international tire and automobile industries, and indirectly has negative constraints on the demand for carbon black. Foreign orders have fallen and China's carbon black exports have decreased.
