The price adjustment range varies according to the variety and origin. The price increase is due to the sharp rise in the procurement cost of main raw materials in various regions.
In addition, since November 1, 2021 or when the contract allows, Cabot will charge an additional energy surcharge for the special carbon black produced in Europe to cope with the unprecedented rapid rise in the cost of natural gas in the region. The price adjustment of Japanese carbon black enterprises and the increase of special carbon black were higher
According to the price coordination mechanism of a carbon black company in Japan, the sales price of carbon black is reassessed every three months according to the price fluctuation in the raw oil market. The company's last price adjustment came into effect on August 1. In view of the continuous rise in the purchase price of raw oil in the third quarter of this year, although the company is also trying to help itself and taking various measures to reduce production costs, the situation is very serious. In order to continue to stabilize the supply in the future, it has decided to comprehensively adjust the sales price of carbon black varieties from November 1:
1) For all varieties of carbon black for rubber, the selling price will be increased by 6900 yen per ton (equivalent to about 390 yuan);
2) Special carbon black, RCF (ordinary pigment furnace black), with a price increase of 34000 yen per ton (equivalent to about 1920 yuan); MCF ・ LFF (medium pigment furnace black and long flow furnace black), an increase of 42000 yen per ton (equivalent to about 2370 yuan); HCF (high pigment furnace black), increased by 51000 yen per ton (equivalent to about 2870 yuan).

Eurilon engineering carbon company announced that the sales price of all special carbon black will be increased from December 1, 2021, or the product shipment date allowed by the contract. The purpose of the EU official emissions trading system (ETS) is to support the EU's goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and the medium-term goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% compared with 1990 by 2030. The EU emissions trading system has entered the fourth trading stage (2021-2030), raising the direct carbon dioxide emission cost of the carbon black industry. Therefore, eurilon needs to charge customers the corresponding CO2 surcharge, so as to continue to become a long-term and reliable supplier of high-quality products and services in the world while safely and sustainably producing carbon black products.
