1。 Import analysis

According to customs statistics, the total import volume of Carbon Black in the first quarter of 2021 was 24700 tons, an increase of 4900 tons or 24.75% compared with last year. The import volume in the first quarter of 2021 increased compared with last year.

From the perspective of source countries, compared with the first quarter of 2020, the import volume of major importing countries and regions increased more, and the top three carbon black importing countries were still South Korea, Japan and the United States. It is understood that the carbon black imported from South Korea, Japan, the United States and other countries is mainly special carbon black, and the downstream of this part of carbon black is mainly paint, paint, cable, etc. in 2020, affected by public health events, the downstream production will be more stopped and the demand will be reduced. In 2021, as the domestic market was not affected by it, the downstream construction was basically at a normal level. Due to the impact of freight and foreign public health events, there was even a shortage of special carbon black in the market in March, and the price of imported special carbon black was also higher than that of last year.

2。 Export situation analysis

According to customs statistics, China's total export volume of carbon black in the first quarter of 2021 was 216600 tons, an increase of 23800 tons or 12.34% over last year, and the export volume in the first quarter of 2021 also increased compared with last year.

From the situation of major national regions of carbon black export in the first quarter, compared with 2020, the export volume of the top three countries increased a lot. Although the export volume to China's Taiwan, India, Japan, Malaysia and other regions and countries decreased, the decrease was not much. Compared with last year, the total export volume of carbon black in the first quarter of 2021 still increased. It is understood that the main carbon black exporting countries are tire enterprises in Southeast Asia. In the first quarter of 2020, due to the impact of public health incidents, domestic exports are limited. In 2021, although the downstream of foreign countries is still limited, the use of imported carbon black from China will increase when the local carbon black enterprises are limited.
